DESCRIPTION:SIMULACRUM  Schaufenster-Ausstellung Nr. 8 \nFiber Art \n15. Mai 2021 – 11. Juni 2021\nMontag bis Freitag\, 10 – 17 Uhr \nEmser Str. 124 Ecke Ilsestr. \n„Ich bin eine chilenische Architektin und Fiber Artist\, die in Berlin lebt. Ich verbinde beide Disziplinen\, indem ich Fragen der Konstruktion mit dem Stickerei-Handwerk verbinde. Ich suche nach der Darstellung von Dreidimensionalität durch die Anordnung von Farbe auf einer gitterartigen Oberfläche. \nDer Kern meiner fortlaufenden Arbeit basiert auf der Kombination und Gegenüberstellung der tektonischen und expressiven Qualitäten zweier primärer Materialien: Zum Einen das Glasfasergewebe\, das ein Konstruktionselement für Fassaden ist. Zum Anderen die Wolle\, die ein weiches\, elastisches und alltägliches Material ist. \nMit einer einfachen\, sich wiederholenden Stichtechnik möchte ich die haptische Qualität der Textur der Wolle im Kontrast zum bemalten Kunststoffgewebe zum Ausdruck bringen. Mein Ziel ist es\, Tiefe durch die Interaktion von Farbe in einem dreidimensionalen Leinwandraum zu erzeugen\, in dem Farbe nicht komponiert\, sondern durch Dichte und Transparenz konstruiert wird.“ \nJaviera González Zarzar \n— \nSIMULACRUM Show Window Exhibition #8: \n„I am a Chilean architect and fiber artist based in Berlin. I link both disciplines by relating construction issues with embroidery craft. I search for the representation of three-dimensionality through the arrangement of color on a grid-like surface. \nThe core of my ongoing work is based on combining and contrasting the tectonic and expressive qualities of two primary materials. On the one hand\, fiberglass mesh\, which is a construction element for facades. On the other hand\, wool\, which is a soft\, elastic\, and common material. \nUsing a simple\, repetitive stitching technique\, I want to express the wool’s haptic and textural quality in contrast to the painted plastic mesh. My aim is to recreate depth by the interaction of color in a three-dimensional canvas space\, where color is not composed but constructed by density and transparency.“ \nJaviera González Zarzar
