DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays@HilbertRaum\n\n  \nLUCILA MAYOL\n \ni am hoping to get a good answer\n \n\n\n\n“The events of amorous life are so trivial that they gain access to writing only by an immense effort: one grows discouraged writing what\, by being written\, exposes its own platitude. Who would see a story in that? The infinitesimal event exist only in its huge reverberation”\n– A Lover’s Discourse\, Roland Barthes\n\n  \n\n‘i am hoping to get a good answer’ is an installment in the long term series of Mokuhanga prints departing from letters from two lovers dated between 1947 and 1952.\n \n\n\nIn an attempt to translate text into images\, small prints depict objects named by each of the correspondents\, the collection becomes visual constellations that orbit around foggy letters. The exhibition explores the multiple interpretations hidden behind a translation: text becoming image\, and becoming narrative again.\n \n\nIn this opportunity\, in addition to the prints\, an embroidered tablecloth features a secret-coded message\, and a collective performance around the words and the language from the letters\, disentangling the notion of individual authorship and voicing the past into the present.\n  \nPerformers:  \nKIKI RAMOS SÖRVIK\nARIEL BERTELLOTTI\nMARCELO BIZZARRI\nVALENTINA AVIANI BARBAGELATA \n\nabout Lucila Mayol:\n\nwww.lucilamayol.com \n
