SUMMARY:Plastic Fantastic
DESCRIPTION:Plastic Fantastic\nExhibition: 23 October – 4 December 2026 \nNanoplastics in our brains\, plastic in the Arctic. Our practical\, durable helper is everywhere\, and production volumes are rising. As a product of the fossil-fuel industry\, plastic pollutes nature as waste and through its breakdown products\, while nano- and microplastics enter our bodies. Recycling does not work. We must reduce plastic volumes worldwide and switch to safe materials. \nWhat does this mean for people\, and what can we do? Who is actively working against the problem? \nArtists\n23 artists present objects\, video\, installation\, performance\, and painting: \nTom Albrecht\, Sandra Becker\, Carsten Borck\, Manuela J. Covini\, Marita Czepa\, Kuesti Fraun\, Stephan Groß\, Shivkumar KV\, Maria Korporal\, Heike Krause\, Thomas Möller\, Sibylle Möndel\, Annegret Müller\, Thomas Neumaier\, Bodo Niggemann\, Dodi Reifenberg\, Robin Romanski\, Petra Steeger\, Andrea Striesova\, Mark Swysen\, Alina Tofan\, Andrea Übelacker\, Ruzica Zajec \nProgramme\n23 October 2026\, 7 pm — Vernissage\nWelcome: Tom Albrecht\nIntroduction to the exhibition: Katja Hock\nFiddle & folk music\, “What Lasts”: Lyn Shuck \nTuesday\, 27 October\, 7 pm — Talk and discussion: “Stopping the Plastic Flood. Micro- and nanoplastics\, as well as chemicals from plastic packaging\, can migrate into our food—and therefore into our bodies. Plastic-free shopping must not be a luxury: it must be accessible and affordable for everyone. Watch the campaign video and sign the petition here: https://exit-plastik.de/lebensmittel-ohne-plastik/\nManifesto for a #PlasticTransition.
