An den individuellen Performances beteiligten sich über Onlinedating-Plattformen gefundene »Zufallspartizipanten«\, die zu den Settings und Bildwelten eigene Ideen beitrugen. Die zentralen Motive der Fotografien sind weibliche Lust\, Körper und Natur – im Sinne von Naturraum\, der nicht normierte Körper und ebensolches Denken zulässt! \nAm Dienstag\, den 02.11.2021\, laden wir Sie herzlich zum Launch des Katalogs zu Women in the Forest in den HilbertRaum\, Berlin ein. Um 19:30 Uhr findet eine Musikperformance mit den Künstlerinnen Justyna Koeke\, Mimosa Pale und Valtteri Laurell Pöyhönen statt. \nNeben den über mehreren Jahren entstandenen Fotografien finden sich im Katalog Making-Of-Dokumentationen und Texte der Autorinnen Laura Laabs und Mithu M. DESCRIPTION:Kunstwerk-Namen sind im besten Fall auch Kunst. Beziehungsweise Schall und autonom. So bei Juliane Duda\, deren Titel nicht Bildinhalt und -bedeutung soufflieren. \nNiedrige Beweggründe\, Mac Reality\, Nichts Neues\, unpolitisch relevant und Eigenbedarf heißen ihre neuen fotografische Arbeiten\, in denen\, wie so oft\, gebaute Natürlichkeit schön scheitert. \nIn der Dialog-Ausstellung mit dem Titel (!) seit wir letztens über zukunft sprachen treffen sie auf drei skulpturale Gefüge von Hanna-Mari Blencke\, zu denen einige affirmative Kommentare überliefert sind: \nWenn Hilma af Klints Bilder mit Verkehrsschildern bumsen würden\, gliche der Nachwuchs wohl den Plastiken Blenckes. Die bis zu zwei Meter großen Objekte mit organischer Anmutung postulieren einen eigenweltlichen Konstruktivismus auf Basis farbintensiver Abstraktion. \nDas kuratorische Bauchgefühl verspricht sich Dialog bzw. Here they find and observe each other\, they study their ways\,techniques and their relationship. As a result they offer us a universe of reinterpretations. Their work accounts for the forces of the collective\, for the importance of one Other\, who would help us rediscover and thus resignify ourselves. In this opportunity she is presenting Ukrainian urban landscapes\, snapshots of her life in Berlin and a first approach to installation. \nLucía Szych www.instagram.com/lu_s_z/ – luciaszych.com \nVisual artist. Through drawings and installations she tries to grasp the space that surrounds us. Her work predominantly deals with traces\, she is intrigued by capturing minimal moments to reflect on time\, memory and fragility. Ute Aurand lässt sich nicht von den Gepflogenheiten einer Filmschule unterkriegen und von Anfang entfalten sich ihre Filme\, wie sie sagt\, aus einer „inneren Notwendigkeit heraus“. Inspiriert von Margaret Tait und Jonas Mekas und angeregt durch den Moment\, eine Stimmung\, ein Bild oder einen Klang\, macht sie andere Filme: poetische Titel\, fehlende Dialoge\, eine beobachtende\, sensible auf die Mitwelt reagierende\, immer suchende Kamera und eine während des Filmens entstehende Montage. So kam auch ihr erster Film „Schweigend ins Gespräch vertieft“ zustande\, für den sie 1981 in Oberhausen den Experimentalfilmpreis erhielt. \nUte Aurand wird anwesend sein. \nVorführung digital und in 16 mm \nLimitierte Anzahl an Sitzplätzen! DESCRIPTION:Opening Friday 19.11.2021 18-22 H \nDas von Niina Lehtonen Braun erträumte Ausstellungskonzept führt die Einheit von Kunst und Traum eng zusammen\, indem ausschließlich von bildenden Künstler:innen selbst geträumte (eigene) Kunstwerke versammelt werden\, entweder als Objekte\, Ideen oder Skizzen. Ergänzend kann dazu der ins Sprachliche übertragene Traum gelesen werden. Traumbilder und Traumsprache vereinen sich. \nDie Traumkunstwerke dieser Ausstellung sind Performances\, Installationen\, Aktionen\, Zeichnungen\, Objekte\, Gemälde. Oft ist der Ort des Traumes eine Kunstinstitution oder eine Kunstmesse\, eine Eröffnung findet statt. Kunstdiskurse und Musiktheorie werden verhandelt. Familie und Freund:innen sind Protagonist:innen\, der eigene Körper und dessen Veränderungen werden geträumt. Manchmal sind die Träume wunderbar positiv\, lustig und überraschend\, andere erinnern eher an schlechte Träume oder Albträume (Alben sind Elfen\, die laut germanischer Mythologie schlechte Träume bringen)\, aus denen herzklopfend erwacht wird – eben so\, wie jede/r (schräge) Träume im Laufe seines/ihres Lebens erinnert. \nTräume und Träumer:innen sind aktuell wichtiger denn je. Wir brauchen weiterhin bitternötig Tag- und Nachtträumer:innen! Viele Träume haben sich immer noch nicht erfüllt\, sind jedoch als Realitätsblitze in Nanosekunden manchmal zu spüren\, vielleicht auch nur im Traum. \nJulia Wirxel \n*** \nThe exhibition concept\, dreamt up by Niina Lehtonen Braun\, weaves art and dream even closer together by assembling artworks that have been dreamt by the visual artists themselves\, either as objects\, ideas or sketches. In addition\, the dreams have been translated into language and can be read. Dream images and dream language join hands. \n\nThe dream artworks in this exhibition are performances\, installations\, actions\, drawings\, objects\, and paintings. Often the dream takes place in an art institution\, at an art fair\, or exhibition opening. Art discourses and music theory are negotiated. Family and friends are protagonists\, one’s own body and its changes are articulated in dream. Sometimes the dreams are wonderfully positive\, funny and surprising\, while others are more reminiscent of bad dreams or nightmares (the German word “Albtraum” stemming from “Alben\,” elves who\, according to Germanic mythology\, bring bad dreams)\, from which one awakens with a pounding heart – (strange) dreams such as everyone remembers having during the course of his or her life. \n\nDreams and dreamers are currently more important than ever – how bitterly we need more day and night dreamers! Many dreams have still not come true\, but can sometimes be felt as flashes of reality in nanoseconds\, though perhaps only in dreams. \nJulia Wirxel

NOVEMBER 2021 18-21 UHR \nInvocations of Remembrance \nA video performance work and installation by Paola Bascón \nThey say\, if memory had a body it would be a body of water crossing the ground\, like a woven fabric of water strings that constantly interweave. Always opening\, expanding\, new channels of water emerging\, ramifying\, opening up and merging again. A flowing network of expanding and simultaneously constricting edges. \nMemories\, like subterranean rivers\, irrigate life from below. They communicate in silent language. They infiltrate their whispers through the earth reaching to our bones. \n‚Invocations of Remembrance‘ is a video performative journey alongside magical objects. Evoking sacred objects across time and space\, they are inhabited by underground rivers and mountains.
