SUMMARY:KINGSIZE Maslowski|Grenzhaeuser
DESCRIPTION:Eröffnung am Freitag\, den 3. Juni 2022\, 18–22 Uhr \nAusstellung 4. Juni 2022 – 2. \nEnglish text \nMaslowskiIGrenzhaeuser has been an artist duo since 1993. In the course of their collaboration\, a comprehensive work of fictional stories has emerged in which they are always the protagonists. Their photographic and cinematic sketches are inspired by very different social spheres\, cultures and genres. Minka Maslowski (*1967) studied art with Jörg Immendorf and Christa Näher\, 1991-97. Nathalie Grenzhaeuser (*1969 ) studied interdisciplinary art with Hermann Nitsch\, 1991-1997. They received their Meisterschüler at Hochschule für Bildende Künste\, Städelschule\, Frankfurt a.M.\, and a stipend from the Hessische Kulturstiftung\, in whose collection they are represented. SUMMARY:OVER GAME

A time and space shifting collection of drawings\, paintings\, photographs\, objects and performances. Difficult to capture and requiring active participation. You can immerse yourself in it for a few moments\, you can associate with it for two weekends\, following its consecutive reveals\, observing smaller and larger changes. Presence creates flow\, which is a key thing in this setting.\nThe awareness of the end usually generates a new beginning. For some a second chance\, for others another loop. Good. But is there any other solution? Is it more worth to trust the process or make even futile attempts to deny it? Maybe it’s possible to make a delicate shift of a millimeter\, a half. Always something…\nOver game is very close to game over\, but while it seems much more difficult and less obvious\, it is also the reverse. Let’s try.”\nby minimal Glamour\nhosted by Clemens Wilhelm\n_________________\nEXTRA EVENTS:\nZORZA LIVE ACT: FRIDAY 03.06.2022 AT 7PM\nMusic composed on a modular polymetric sequencer „Polymeter“ (thanks Chris Korda!)\, by zorza\, who will act as a human crystallizing sound from complex algorithms and synthesizers.\n*\nPARSA KAMEHKHOSH VIDEO PERFORMANCE: SUNDAY 05.06.2022 2PM-7PM\n*\nPROPELLERRUMMET LIVE ACT: FRIDAY 10.06.2022 AT 8PM\nPropellerrummet (Elektron/FeinRaus)\nSite specific drones and electronics by Gösta Wellmer\n*\nKOEN VICTOOR PRESENTS ‘BUS ON TRACK’: SUNDAY 12.06.2022 AT 5PM\nKoen Victoor: director Danspunt vzw\, founder De Scheldesessies\, co-founder “Bus on Track” (…)\nBUS ON TRACK: concept (realization summer 2024): a converted electric bus\, covered with solar panels and completely self-sufficient. Travels through Europe. Every trip is a two weeks track through an interesting but unknown part of Europe. The bus stops in small villages and invites local artists to create with multi-travelling artists. Creations are presented in open air\, supported by low impact technical services. The public is welcome. They can watch\, participate or just have a coffee. The project brings people together. That especially.

DESCRIPTION:Those games we fail to play by Alice Máselníková \nSolo exhibition \nOpening: 16.06.2022\, Thursday 19:00\nArtist Talk & Soup: 18.06.2022\, Saturday 19:00\n \nExhibition on view: 16.06.2022 – 23.06.2022\nVisiting hours: Fri 17.06.\, 14:00 – 19:00\nSat 18.06.\, 14:00 – 22:00\nSun 19.06.\, 14:00 – 19:00\nMon 20.06. – Thu 23.06\, by appointment \nTOP project space\, Schillerpromenade 4\, 12049 Berlin \nThere has never been just one body\, there have always been too many – none of them knowing what to do with themselves\, some better at pretending than the others. It would be too simple if it were only to throw a dice and wisdom would descend on us. So it is just to test the waters… play along. Lose a lot. Succeed at some. If you fail to play\, at least watch the game. \nThe works contemplate the fragile symbiosis of the flesh\, spirit and mind\, in sickness and in health. Through adoration of skin the paintings inquire into how people interact with other bodies\, what measures we take to attach ourselves to someone and reach beyond our existential solitude; where we look and how we touch. \n— \nAlice Máselníková (b. 1989\, Zlín\, Czech Republic) is a painter and curator based in Stockholm. Life models\, poetry\, bodies and minds intertwine to capture the fleeting moment\, intimacy of touch and strange subtleties of pain. She holds a BA (Hons) in Art and Philosophy from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Arts and Design\, Dundee; MA in Curating Art from Stockholm University; and studied Bellas Artes at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. She is one of the three creative directors of Supermarket – Stockholm Independent Art Fair\, founder of the artist-run initiative Flat Octopus\, project leader of Artist-Run Network Europe\, project manager at Intercult\, and also works as a freelance editor and cultural funding consultant.
