DESCRIPTION:Donnerstag\, den 1. September\, 19 Uhr. Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Markus Schrenk zur propriozeptiven Kunstrezeption mit anschließender Diskussion\, unter Einbezug der Ausstellung CONSTELLAR von Susanne Britz und Maja Rohwetter. \nPropriozeption (engl. Proprioception) ist die unbewusste Wahrnehmung der eigenen Bewegung\, Stellung\, Spannung\, Haltung des eigenen Körpers und seiner Lage im Raum. Sie wird auch als der 6. Sinn des Menschen bezeichnet. \nViele Kunstwerke sind vorwiegend visueller oder auditiver Natur. Einige Kunstwerke (wie z.B.Happenings\, Fluxus\, Performances) beziehen auch die Körperlichkeit des Publikums entscheidend mit ein und provozieren bewusst die Wahrnehmung des eigenen Körpers\, d. h. die Propriozeption und Interozeption der Kunst-Rezipient:innen:\nDiese Werke haben verstärkt die Wahrnehmung der eigenen Körperbewegung\, der Position im Raum\, des Gleichgewichts\, der Muskelspannung\, des Schmerzes\, der Temperatur\, des Energie- und Stressniveaus usw. zum Inhalt.\nWie propriozeptiv sind Susanne Britz‘ und Maja Rohwetters Werke? Finden wir in der Ausstellung CONSTELLAR neben dem rein visuellen Zugang auch einen interozeptiven zu den Installationen und Bildern? \nProf. Dr. Markus Schrenk lehrt an der Heinriich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf.\nSeine Lehr- und Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Metaphysik\, speziell in der Metaphysik der (Natur-)Wissenschaften und in der Wissenschafts- und Sprachphilosophie. Er hat zahlreiche Bücher und Aufsätze veröffentlicht (Metaphysics of Science\, Routledge 2016 / Handbuch Metaphysik\, Metzler 2017/ Naturgesetze\, De Gruyter 2020; mit Siegfried Jaag).\nSein jüngstes Projekt beschäftigt sich mit einem kunstphilosophischem Thema: Was ist propriozeptive Kunst?\nMit dem Wissenschaftskommunikations-Projekt denXte gewann er 2022 zusammen mit seinem Team den Communicator-Preis der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) und des Stifterverbandes. \nAufgrund der begrenzten Teilnahme wird um Anmeldung gebeten. Staff and others \nDoors 19:30 / Performances 20:00 \nanorak is proud to present Songs of Cockaigne\, an evening of live performance and artists’ moving image developed together with crys cole\, Golden Fur\, and James Richards. \ncrys cole is a Canadian sound artist working in composition\, improvised performance and sound installation. Generating subtle and imperfect sounds through haptic gestures and seemingly mundane materials\, she creates textural works that continuously retune the ear. Alongside her solo work\, she has ongoing collaborations w/ Oren Ambarchi\, Francis Plagne\, Ora Clementi (w/ James Rushford) & more. \nGolden Fur is an Australian chamber ensemble\, comprising Sam Dunscombe (clarinets\, electronics)\, Judith Hamann (cello) and James Rushford (keyboards\, viola). Golden Fur is dedicated to the creation of new work by living composers and visual artists\, and the presentation of under-represented works from the twentieth and twenty-first century musical underground. \nJames Richards is an artist living and working in Berlin. \nSongs of Cockaigne is a special edition of Seeing Is Believing\, anorak’s monthly series dedicated to artists’ moving image. DESCRIPTION:LUFT – international networking event to highlight and connect the European artist-run art scene takes place Saturday\, 10th and Sunday\, 11th of September 1– 5 pm at KUNSTPUNKT\, Schlegelstr. 6\, 10115 Berlin. \nEighteen initiatives from The Hague\, Limerick\, Stockholm\, Riga\, Copenhagen\, Frankfurt and Berlin present their spaces and organisations\, as well as selected art works at their stands in order to show their activities and start new collaborations. \nARNE (Artist-Run Network Europe) aims to strengthen the self-organised artist-run sector in Europe with a focus on local and international cooperation\, and to create a simple information framework for art professionals and art students\, namely through a collaborative online platform\, the Artist-Run Resource Centre (ARRC). \nWe want to rise the visibility of artist initiatives in the professional art world and enhance the accessibility of the independent scene for the broad society. In a multi-layered format\, the project bridges the gap between European cultures\, professions and artists at different stages of their careers. SUMMARY:A trans feat. Roland Stratmann _ LIKE ALWAYS
DESCRIPTION:  \nFor the installation Like Always\, Roland Stratmann draws on his series of postcard images. The starting point are collected handwritten and stamped postcards from all over the world. Large-scale ink drawings with pictorial motifs of our media-influenced memories overlay the postcard conglomerate assembled into a tapestry. Stratmann combines messages and standard formulations filtered from the pool of collective messages with pictorial motifs detached from their original context. Symbols of intercultural misconceptions and interpretations emerge. \nIt is like always. As if we had not been away at all.  – an open message about acceptance and knowledge\, about truth and one’s own truths\, the lost paradise\, and one’s perception of it. \nRoland Stratmann studied at the Berlin University of the Arts. His works are shown in numerous national and international exhibitions. He lives and works in Berlin. \n___________ \nFür die Installation Like Always greift Roland Stratmann auf seine Werkreihe der Postkartenbilder zurück. Ausgangspunkt sind gesammelte handgeschriebene\, frankierte und abgestempelte Postkarten aus der ganzen Welt. Großflächige Tuschezeichnungen mit Bildmotiven unserer medial geprägten Erinnerung überlagern das zum Wandteppich zusammengefügte Postkartenkonvolut. Stratmann verbindet aus dem Pool der kollektiven Mitteilungen gefilterte Botschaften und Standardformulierungen mit den aus ihrem ursprünglichen Kontext herausgelösten Bildmotiven. Es entstehen Sinnbilder der interkulturellen Verkennungen und Interpretationen. \nIt is like always. As if we had not been away at all. (Es ist wie immer. Als ob wir gar nicht weg gewesen wären.) – eine offene Botschaft über Annahme und Erkenntnis\, über Wahrheit und eigene Wahrheiten\, das verlorene Paradies und seine Wahrnehmung darüber. \nRoland Stratmann studierte an der Universität der Künste Berlin. Seine Werke werden in zahlreichen nationalen und internationalen Ausstellungen gezeigt. SUMMARY:Planetary Atoll: Connecting Latin American Dots
DESCRIPTION:Planetary Atoll: Connecting Latin American Dots is an exhibition dedicated to a set of net art works that were produced by artists from the region throughout the last three decades. \npanke.gallery/exhibition/planetaryatoll \n \nSurrounded by bipolarities\, we are trying to liberate ourselves from nationalist ideas while needing to address specific issues. Whereas Internet based projects promise to outreach a planetary public\, they also reveal otherwise forgotten regional specific situations. The Internet has become a political dicomotical ground\, but it is also the place where a connective tissue is formed. Rather than adopting a cartography shaped by an up and down model\, this exhibition examines the gap between the local and the global and how that in-betweenness emerges in certain digital artworks. This exhibtion is part of the Magical Hackerism project by SAVVY Contemporary in collaboration with panke.gallery\, funded by the Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa des Landes Berlin. DESCRIPTION:Eröffnung am Freitag\, den 23. September 2022 ab 18 Uhr\n Ausstellung: 24. September – 22. Oktober 2022 \nAmbient Event am Donnersatg\, den 6. Oktober ab 19 Uhr\n„Music With An Open End„ mit Left Winter (Manchester/Berlin)\nzur 150. Axel Obiger Ausstellung ! \nAusstellungsführungen am 30.09. und 14.10.2022\, 18–19 Uhr \nPetra Karadimas und Gabriele Künne befragen mithilfe ihrer jeweiligen Medien eine Wahrnehmung\, die auf scheinbar beiläufig gefundenen Stadtszenarien beruht\, von Details in urbaner Umgebung ausgeht sowie die Natur- und Landschaftsfragmente in den Zwischenräumen der Stadt thematisiert. \nBaustellen\, Brachen und transitorische Räume stehen in Petra Karadimas´ Fotografien im Zentrum der Auseinandersetzung. Hier finden urbane Strukturen flächig zusammen\, überlagern und durchkreuzen einander. Die Bilder erscheinen flüchtig\, teils unspektakulär und brechen doch gezielt mit Konventionen und Sehgewohnheiten. Oft erschließen sie sich erst auf den zweiten Blick. \nFür Gabriele Künne spielen Objekte und Objektsysteme\, deren unbestimmte und unbestimmbare Formen sich aus urbanem Erleben entwickeln\, eine wesentliche Rolle. Im Spannungsfeld von naturhaften und technoid-architektonischen Elementen eröffnen sich dem Betrachter vielfältige Assoziationsmöglichkeiten. Ausgewalzte Flächen aus keramischer Masse werden gefaltet\, geworfen\, geschlagen und an die Grenzen ihrer konstruktiven Möglichkeiten gebracht. \nDie beiden Künstlerinnen teilen einen ähnlich offenen Arbeitsansatz\, der die Bedingungen des jeweiligen Mediums immer mitdenkt und als eigentlichen Ausgangspunkt versteht. Jenseits des Nützlichen oder Pittoresken geben die so entstehenden Arbeiten spielerisch Auskunft über die Prozesse und Möglichkeiten ihrer Entstehung. Der vorangegangene Dialog wird als Präsentationsform mit einbezogen ohne die Autonomie der Kunstwerke zu verletzen. \nPetra Karadimas studierte Bildende Kunst am Hunter College of the City University of New York (M.F.A. 1995). Neben ihrer künstlerischen Tätigkeit war sie u.a als Gast Dozentin am ICP in New York tätig und hat einige Jahre den Projektraum berg19 raum für fotografie in Berlin Mitte geleitet. Sie hat zahlreiche Stipendien erhalten\, zuletzt ein Förderstipendium der Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn. Sie lebt seit 1997 in Berlin. \nGabriele Künne studierte Freie Kunst an der Hochschule der Künste Berlin (heute Universität der Künste Berlin) und am Royal College of Art London und schloss 1998 mit der Ernennung zur Meisterschülerin ab. Seit 2012 ist sie als Mitglied bei Axel Obiger auch kuratorisch tätig\, zuletzt bei „Amorph“ in der Galerie im Saalbau\, Neukölln (2020) sowie bei „Geduld des Papiers“ in der PAPER gallery Manchester (2022).
