Ihre erste Veröffentlichung war das Album Loose Leaves (Wanda\, 2018)\, auf dem Reihse Gedichte von Mimaroğlu vertonte. Es folgten Performances bei Image Movement\, Hopscotch\, Arkaoda\, Periode und im Morphine Raum\, neben DJ Sets bei Herz\, Rauschgold und Arkaoda. Weitere Stücke erschienen auf Karl Marx’s 200th!\, Multiverse und Tree Aid – Emmauswald bleibt!. Und zu Mimaroğlus Buch Love Songs (Blue Figure Press\, 2021) schrieb Reihse das Nachwort.\nFür die nächsten Monate sind drei Tonträgerveröffentlichungen geplant. \nSEDA MIMAROĞLU ist eine Künstlerin und Dichtern aus Istanbul\, die sowohl mit Text\, Ton als auch Bild arbeitet. Mit einem Hintergrund in Literatur\, Kunstgeschichte\, Rechtswissenschaften und Philosophie entwickelt sie Ausstellungen\, Publikationen und Performances oft in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Künstler_innen\, Musiker_innen und Forscher_innen. Zu seiner künstlerischen Praxis gehört auch Textarbeit\, Design\, Zeichnung\, Film und Kuratieren. Reihse hat mit einer Vielzahl von Musiker_innen\, bildenden Künstler_innen\, Filmemacher_innen\, Autor_innen und Modedesigner_innen zusammengearbeitet – für Filme\, Theaterstücke\, Performances und Installationen. [reihse.de] \n\n\n \nThis is the place you told me about \nDie Gruppenausstellung „This is the place you told me about“ vereint acht künstlerische Positionen\, die sich mit dem Thema Fragilität/Verletzlichkeit als materielles und immaterielles Phänomen auseinandersetzen. Multiperspektivisch und interdisziplinär fangen sie den Moment des Aufeinandertreffen von Innen und Außen ein und visualisieren ihn in einer reduzierten und leisen Sprache. \nDie ausgewählten Kunstwerke erzählen von Schutzräumen\, Schwellen und Zwischenzuständen und markieren physische Grenzen an sensiblen Objekten\, die in einem Wechselspiel von abstrakt und konkret\, von Verstecken und Suchen\, eine Welt von imaginären Begegnungen hervorrufen. \nPräsentiert in unterschiedlichen Disziplinen – von Zeichnung und Malerei bis hin zu Bildhauerei und Installation – können fast alle Kunstwerke als dreidimensionale Werke betrachtet werden\, die sowohl physisch als auch konzeptionell auf ihre Umgebung reagieren. Die Medien Fotografie und Video werden vor allem dokumentarisch eingesetzt und erweitern und reflektieren die Dichotomie von Innen und Außen. \nObwohl sich die einzelnen\, sorgfältig mit Hand gefertigten Kunstwerke in ihrer Vielfalt an Formen und Materialien unterscheiden\, verbindet sie eine gewisse Sprache und Einfachheit. Their first release was the album Loose Leaves (Wanda\, 2018)\, on which Reihse set Mimaroğlu’s poems to music. [reihse.de] \nThis is the place you told me about\n13.09. – 11.10.2025 \nThe group exhibition „This is the place you told me about“ brings together eight artistic practices that address the theme of fragility/vulnerability as a material and immaterial phenomenon. In multi-perspective and multi-disciplinary ways they capture the moment when inside and outside meet\, and visualize it in a reduced and gentle language. \nThe selected artworks tell about shelters\, thresholds\, and in-between states. They mark physical boundaries on vulnerable objects\, which\, in an interplay between the abstract and the concrete\, between the act of hiding and seeking\, evoke an imaginary world of encounters. \nPresented in a variety of disciplines—from drawing and painting to sculpture and installation—almost all the artworks can be seen as three-dimensional works that respond both physically and conceptually to their surroundings. The medium of photography and video are used primarily in a documentary sense\, expanding and reflecting on the dichotomy of ‘inside’ and ‘outside’.\nEven though all featured meticulously hand-crafted artworks differ in their variety of shapes and materials\, they have a certain visual vocabulary and simplicity in common.
