SUMMARY:A trans feat. Silvina Der Meguerditchian_ DURCH UND DURCH
DESCRIPTION:In semantic fields Silvina Der Meguerditchian explores the space between the image and the written word\, dissecting it into its smallest components. Paper – the primary support of the written word – is punctured by the materiality of wool or sewing thread. The words “we”\, “love”\, “place”\, “together” are deconstructed in a thicket of fibers\, becoming an enigma difficult to decipher. This “woolly encoding” with its soft\, porous surface\, speaks to the osmotic properties of language and the permeable limits between ideas and their signifiers. \nIn DURCH UND DURCH (THROUGH AND THROUGH) Silvina Der Meguerditchian stitches with wool the word Zusammen (Together) on paper. The work stimulates to think about the collective\, its origins\, for example in the paradise of Christian genesis\, but also its development in the personal as well as socio-political environment until today. \nThe work of Silvina Der Meguerditchian are shown in numerous national and international exhibitions. The artist lives and works in Berlin.

SUMMARY:A trans feat. Roland Stratmann _ LIKE ALWAYS
DESCRIPTION:  \nFor the installation Like Always\, Roland Stratmann draws on his series of postcard images. The starting point are collected handwritten and stamped postcards from all over the world. Large-scale ink drawings with pictorial motifs of our media-influenced memories overlay the postcard conglomerate assembled into a tapestry. Stratmann combines messages and standard formulations filtered from the pool of collective messages with pictorial motifs detached from their original context. Symbols of intercultural misconceptions and interpretations emerge. \nIt is like always. As if we had not been away at all.  – an open message about acceptance and knowledge\, about truth and one’s own truths\, the lost paradise\, and one’s perception of it. \nRoland Stratmann studied at the Berlin University of the Arts. His works are shown in numerous national and international exhibitions. He lives and works in Berlin. \nIt is like always. As if we had not been away at all.

SUMMARY:Vague
DESCRIPTION:Kallirroi Ioannidou\nMarkus Jäntti-Tuominen\nOscar Veyrunes\nCarolin Bernhofer \nEröffnung: Freitag\, 12.08.2022\, 18-22Uhr\n12.08 – 21.08.2022 \nBezug nehmen\, geben\, verweigern.\nMit Bezügen spielen\, Fährten legen\, Fallen lösen.

SUMMARY:A trans feat. Kuno Matthias Ebert _ Die Diktatur des Zufalls – Part V
DESCRIPTION:(Please scroll down for English version ) \n  \nIst es Zufall? \n  \n(The Dictatorship of Coincidence – Part V) \nIs it a coincidence? \nOr is the essence of reality\, \nThat which we create out of the myriads of possibilities? \nBut\, there are beings that were already there before us\, \nThere are beings – ourselves – \nWe are like plants we grow and pass away\, \nOurselves creatures\, \nOurselves simply a possibility out of a myriad. \nA trans invites you for a closer look into the artistic models and methods around the theme A Lost Paradise City. Kuno M. Ebert’s primary forms of expression are painting and ceramics. He developed his painting style living in seclusion in the countryside after his studies were finished\, where he over the years built up the exhibition space Kunsthalle Hilsbach. He is an active member of the artist-run project space HilbertRaum in Berlin.

Sometimes the question involves a confrontation and we can only hope that we will be able to come up with something. \nLothar Frenz claims in his book „Nashörner. SUMMARY:A trans feat. Opening Panos Balomenos_ me\, myself and I
DESCRIPTION:A trans offers a public forum for contemporary discourse and research into cultural paradigms\, contemporary lifestyles\, and new experimental tendencies in urban practices and identities. \nThe word iconic referred since the 17th century to a picture\, it’s representation\, or a portrait. Panos Balomenos presents a series of 4 paintings that aim to comment on the hysterical and constant presence of one-self on social media. Each portrait response to a perfectly filtered and immaculate\, though fake and inhuman\, world. \nPanos Balomenos lives and works as an artist between Helsinki\, Finland and Athens\, Greece.

SUMMARY:Opening A trans feat. Alim Pasht-Han _ yoroi
DESCRIPTION:Opening Friday\, 18.06.2021   7 PM \nExhibition 18.06.2021 – 08.08.2021     Schaufenster 24h \nVitrine U – Kleistpark (U7) in 10783 Berlin \nThe artist is present. \nPlease notice\, we kindly ask you to accept the recent SARS-CoV-2-Infektionsschutzmaßnahmenverordnung of Berlin. \n  \nFor further information: \nFacebook: atransorg \nInstagram: atrans \nhttps://www.pasht-han.com \nInstagram: @alimpashthan \nThe artist Alim Pasht-Han tailors the topic of the Iconic City with a depiction of a suit of armor as an icon\, that at the same time has something iconoclastic about it. \nRepresentations of soldiers\, heroes\, and warriors are evoked. Images of newer omnipresent superheroes or Transformers from contemporary computer games are slipped in. Avatars\, like icons\, exist to be venerated and to create an existential connection between the viewer (or user) and that which is portrayed. One often also uses masks\, shells\, and armor to remain anonymous. \nAlim Pasht-Han explores the Japanese tradition of armor called ō-yoroi. Historians have found parallels between the samurai codex and the traditions of Circassian warriors from his homeland. Despite the relatively light construction of yoroi\, the defensive properties of the armor is highly complex. Most historical martial arts had techniques to defeat an opponent in armor. Armor breaker. These weaponless techniques target breaking the “skeleton” of the armor to unbalance the fighter. \nThe installation is made up of a delicate interplay between attacking\, armor\, defense\, security\, and vulnerability. Alim Pasht-Han’s artificial armor is made out of fragile porcelain. Individual objects\, modules\, handcrafted set pieces\, and industrial prefabricated forms yield an overall artistic composition. The theatrical sacred presentation underlines the character of the glass showcase. \nAlim Pasht-Han engages with sculpture\, installation\, and graphic design and since 2006 has made a number of artworks out of porcelain. He lives and works as an artist in Halle/Saale and Naltschik\, in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic of the North Caucuses.

SUMMARY:A trans feat. Bettina Weiß_Unter der Sonne (Under the Sun)
DESCRIPTION:Invited to approach the themes of myth\, world view\, utopia\, and icons in relation to space and the public sphere in an artistic way\, Bettina Weiß has developed a painting installation for the A trans Vitrine. \nThe works are a painterly meditation on the symbolic iconic representation of the sun motif produced for this location. \nThe sun as the center point of our planetary system shines out of itself as the only star and is the powerhouse of all life on earth. \nEvery building made by humans and animals are oriented towards the light of the sun\, it also sets the pace of life. Since time immemorial\, the sun has been a symbol of vitality\, divinity\, power\, and life itself – its daily return was invoked by means of cultic and magical rituals. \nIt has been represented in infinite forms throughout human history. \nThe image of the sun is like a primordial icon. \nBettina Weiß has been working for many years on a painterly pictorial language in which she intuitively explores spaces in a constructive way. Starting from mostly geometric forms\, she combines different colour materials on wood or canvas supports in order to find an energy-conserving solution for each picture. \nIn the stage-like\, underground exhibition situation of the showcase\, semicircular wooden pictures are hung and placed on a coloured background in relation to each other. \nThe motif of the sun is quoted here as radiant and glistening in its own right\, and is depicted in potentiated form in the same way that rays are often depicted as strokes. \nAnother form is that of the circle\, which is supposed to reflect the rising and setting sun situation in various superimposed formations and colour temperatures. The use of the semicircle allows for a splintering and mirroring of one version to the other. This seems like a way to symbolize infinite variations both of representation and in terms of time and space. \nBettina Weiß lives and works as an artist in Berlin. \n  \nhome \n \nFacebook: atransorg \nInstagram: atrans \nhttps://www.bettinaweiss.net \nFacebook: Bettina.Weiß \nInstagram: @bettinabetti

SUMMARY:A trans feat. Martin Juef_ZAR-Noturnos
DESCRIPTION:Martin Juef’s images at first glance appear somewhat unclear: meticulous drawings look like print products\, handmade collages like computer generated images\, and blurry photographs like paintings. This ambiguity brings up questions of how the image was made. In this way the images by Martin Juef are poetic in the literal sense\, and they conceptualize the very fundamentals of their own construction (poiesis = to make). \nWhile taking photographs\, the way the images are made is for the most part given over to an apparatus that the artist calls the “Realism Machine”. He uses a so-called travel camera\, which through the spontaneous choice of motifs – usually in situations with lots of movement in difficult lighting – bring it to the boundaries of its optical performance. \nFor the topic An Iconic City Martin Juef is exhibiting the photograph ZAR  from the series Noturnos. They are photographs that were taken during late night strolls in urban spaces. \nThe ZAR photograph was taken in 2018 in Belém\, the state capital of Pará in the north of Brazil\, where the artist lived for four years. It shows excerpts of nighttime preparations for a Carnival parade happening the next day. \nMartin Juef lives and works as an artist and curator in Berlin and Leipzig. \nFor further information: \nwww.atrans.org \nFacebook: atransorg \nInstagram: atrans \nwww.martin.juef.de \nFacebook: martin.juef \n  \n  \n
