*move it – Rickshaw tours
On Thursday, 10th September 2020, the 9th award ceremony for the Award for Artistic Project Spaces and Initiatives will take place in Berlin. In 2020, ten project spaces will be awarded and receive 10.000 euros each. Netzwerk freier Berliner Projekträume und -initiativen (network of independent project spaces and initiatives) is addressing this year’s unusual pandemic situation under the motto of *move it and celebrates the award winners by doing a rally through the city. The award winners will set off in rickshaws at their respective locations. The awards will then be formally presented to the winners by Dr. Klaus Lederer, senator for Culture and Europe, after reaching the destination Kunstpunkt Berlin. The rickshaw rides will be accompanied with artistic interventions by Laura Mello. Friends and spontaneous spectators are welcome on the side of the road, along the rally, and have to comply with the distancing regulations.

The formal handover of this year’s project space award will be taking place at Kunstpunkt Berlin, Schlegelstraße 6, 10115 Berlin, in compliance with the corona regulations that will be accurate at that time.
